Project Green Touch
Add Your GreenTouch To Our State Park
Volunteer - Saturday, May 4, 2019
For the 20th year, Beltrami Electric Cooperative and other Touchstone Energy® cooperatives throughout Minnesota will again join together to help spruce up our state parks through a program called GreenTouch.
You're invited to volunteer with us to help prepare Lake Bemidji State Park for the upcoming park season! We will work with park staff as we rake leaves, clean up trails, clean road-side ditches, plant trees, wash windows and other general projects. Bring your family and friends as we enjoy a nice spring day at the park!
Tools, equipment, beverages and a grilled lunch will be provided. We recommend you bring a pair of work gloves.
Please Join Us! A one-day park sticker will be provided for that day for volunteers, just check in at the park office and let them know you are working with GreenTouch.
For more information, or if you would like to volunteer, contact Angela Lyseng at 444-3689 or via email at email@example.com.
Project GreenTouch is held each year on the first Saturday in May. If you would like to volunteer, contact us at 218-444-2540, 1-800-955-6083 or firstname.lastname@example.org. (You need not be a member to volunteer-everyone is welcome!)
Project GreenTouch is a collaboration of Minnesota Touchstone Energy Cooperatives who join together with their electric cooperative employees and members to volunteer in various parks throughout the state. Beltrami Electric Cooperative volunteers locally at Lake Bemidji State Park, where we work together on projects like planting trees, cleaning trails and campgrounds, raking leaves and provide general cleanup.
Every electric cooperative that participates in Project GreenTouch is a member of Minnesota's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, a collection of rural electric cooperatives throughout the state that have the same values. Touchstone Energy is a co-brand shared by cooperatives across the nation to convey what electric cooperatives stand for: Integrity, Accountability, Community Involvement and Innovation.
GreenTouch Day, and the sponsorship of Minnesota State Parks and Trails, fit will with the Touchstone Energy commitment. GreenTouch officially launched in 2000, and since then nearly 9,000 people have volunteered more than 32,000 hours to help beautify our state parks!
