Beltrami Electric Cooperative is pleased to be a pacesetter for the United Way of Bemidji Area's annual campaign. With several events held throughout the year, employee giving and fundraisers, we help to support programs and organizations working to provide a positive impact on our local communities.

Indoor Garage Sale

This annual fundraising event is held the first Saturday in May to benefit the United Way of Bemidji Area. Held in Beltrami Electric's garage area, .and features more than 90 vendor booths, concessions and access to new and used merchandise. To date, this event has raised more than $87,400 for the United Way of Bemidji! Attendees pay a $1 entry fee (12 & under are free)

The 2026 Indoor Garage Sale is planned for Saturday, May 3, 2026. Vendor registration will open in April.

GreenTouch™

Each spring, Beltrami Electric Cooperative joins fellow Minnesota Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives in supporting GreenTouch™, a statewide volunteer event dedicated to keeping our parks beautiful. Through hands-on projects like trail cleanup, planting, and park maintenance, the event encourages environmental stewardship, community collaboration, and cooperative spirit. Together, we’re making a lasting difference in the places we all enjoy.

Touchstone Energy® Open

Beltrami Electric has hosted the annual Touchstone Energy® Open golf tournament at Castle Highlands Golf Course north of Bemidji for more than 20 years. This much-anticipated event serves as a key fundraiser for the United Way of Bemidji Area, will all proceeds supporting local programs that strengthen our community by promoting education, health and financial security - the building blocks of a good life. 

Held in September, the tournament is a four-person scramble format with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. 

Northwoods Maker's Market

Beltrami Electric Cooperative and Paul Bunyan Broadcasting host this annual event the first Saturday in October. Located in the garage at BEC, this market is more than just a day of shopping - it's a day full of fun for the entire family. As a fundraiser for the United Way of Bemidji Area, attendees can shop over 80 unique booths offering a wide variety of handmade goods, crafts and gifts that are perfect for every season. 

The 2026 Northwoods Maker's Market is planned for Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026.
