Members of Beltrami Electric Cooperative are invited to attend the cooperative’s 79th annual meeting to be held at Bemidji High School on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Registration and a roast beef dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the business meeting slated for 7 p.m.
Members may browse informational booths, watch a high-voltage electrical safety demonstration, check out the cooperative’s electric vehicle (EV) and register for door prizes to be drawn during the business meeting.
The agenda includes the election of director candidates from Districts 1, 5 and 8, and will feature reports from cooperative management and other business that may properly come before the meeting. The featured speaker will be Stacey Dahl, senior manager of external affairs for Minnkota Power Cooperative, a regional generation and transmission cooperative serving 11 member-owned distribution cooperatives, including Beltrami Electric Cooperative. Dahl will be speaking about Project Tundra, a proposed carbon capture project at the coal-based Milton R. Young Station in Center, N.D.
